The present invention relates to a user inference apparatus comprising: a sample household data processing unit analyzing a viewing pattern of a sample household from received sample household data, extracting a watching pattern characteristic from the analyzed viewing pattern, and discriminating the viewing pattern characteristic by the group to generate one or more classifiers; a target household data processing unit generating target household viewing pattern information from the received target household data; and a profile inference unit classifying the target household viewing pattern via the classifiers and performing an inferring operation for a predetermined group existing in the target household to generate a first inference result.
