In a method and a system for providing a continuous query-based monitoring service in a sensor network, the present invention comprises procedures of: collecting sensing data corresponding to state data in the sensor network by a preset cycle through a tag distributed in the sensor network; generating a query for a query index corresponding to the collected sensing data and registering the query in a query storage part by converting the query generated in a form of continuous query corresponding to an object through an analysis of the generated query; generating and transmitting through an execution of continuous totaling query corresponding to the sensing data requested by the query registered in the query storage part; updating the query in accordance with the position-based moving entity type by determining whether a preset object by cycle through an environment setting data moves; and executing an update by item for the execution of a series of aggregate queries of the filtered sensing data and processed corresponding to the updated query.
