PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively avoid a reduction in adhesion between a retardation layer and a base material and prevent damage to the base material, in a configuration to provide a hard coat layer as a protective layer on the retardation layer in a laminate of a 1/4 wavelength plate and a sensor film for a touch panel so as to prevent damage to the retardation layer and thereby prevent infiltration of a solvent of an ultraviolet curable resin.SOLUTION: In an optical film 13 in which a base material 21 made of a transparent film material and a retardation layer 23 providing 1/4 wavelength phase difference to transmitted light are laminated, the retardation layer 23 is manufactured of a cured liquid crystal material, and a protective layer 25 is laminated on a surface on the opposite side to the base material 21 of the retardation layer 23 with an adhesive layer 24 interposed therebetween.
