PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition capable of improving dry performance, wet performance, and on-ice performance of a tire, and to provide a pneumatic tire having improved run-flat durability and ride quality.SOLUTION: Provided is a rubber composition for a tire, comprising: a rubber component containing an aromatic vinyl compound-conjugated diene compound copolymer, a conjugated diene compound polymer, or a natural rubber as a main component; a cyclic molecule; a linear molecule or a molecule having one branch point, clathrating the cyclic molecules in a skewered state; and a polyrotaxane where the linear molecule or the molecule having one branch point has blocking groups disposed at molecular terminals, preventing detachment of the cyclic molecules, or a polyrotaxane having the polyrotaxane crosslinked via a cyclic molecule. The polyrotaxane or the crosslinked polyrotaxane is contained in an amount of 0.1 to 20 pts.mass relative to 100 pts.mass of the rubber composition. Also provided is a pneumatic tire. |
