PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which in conventional systems, flexible promotions suiting a time of picking up products cannot be implemented.SOLUTION: A product promotion system according to the present invention includes: a detection unit 300 that includes a display shelf having an RF tag disposed between a reader antenna and a detection target product layout area, and an RFID reader; an output unit 400 that presents information to a customer; a product presence/absence determination unit 201 that determines the presence/absence of an article on the basis of signal intensity information on the RF tag; a product information storage unit 203 that stores a product information list in association with tag information on the RF tag, product presence/absence information indicative of the presence/absence of the article, output unit ID information on the output unit 400, and output information indicative of information to be presented; and a product pick-up determination unit 204 that detects a change from a presence state of the detection target article to an absence state thereof and from the absence state thereof to the presence state thereof on the basis of a result of the presence/absence determination of the article and the product presence/absence information, and switches the output information to be output to the output unit. |
