APPARATUS FOR TREATING EAR BAROTRAUMA

An apparatus for treating ear barotrauma is described which includes a first body and a second body. The first body defines a heat source chamber which accommodates a portable heat source package, such as a chemical gel pack or a towel saturated with boiling water. The second body defines a hot air chamber. An air permeable heat source retention barrier is positioned between the first body and the second body to prevent movement of the portable heat source package from the first body into the second body during use. An annular ear pad is positioned at the second end of the second body for the comfort of the wearer and to provide a seal.
