<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the time until the start of image formation from being increased even when a print instruction is received after the start of post-processing.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus includes: plural photoreceptors; plural developing means corresponding to the plural photoreceptors; driving means for rotation-driving each of the plural developing means and the photoreceptors corresponding thereto for mutual contact or separation; and control means for controlling rotation of the driving means. When receiving a print instruction during rotating the driving means in a first direction in order to transfer the state from an all-contact state where all of the plural developing means are in contact with the corresponding photoreceptors to an all-separation state where all of the plural developing means are separated from the corresponding photoreceptors, the control means selects, as control of the driving means, one of stopping the driving means, continuing rotation in the first direction, and rotation in a second direction opposite the first direction, on the basis of a rotation state of the driving means upon receipt of the print instruction.</p> |
