PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of the image quality of printing images which is caused by interference patterns and banding.SOLUTION: An ink jet printing method includes: a first printing step where a printer causes a printing head 21 to scan to print a first image on a workpiece 10; and a second printing step where the printer causes the printing head 21 to scan to print a second image on the workpiece 10 so that the second image overlaps with the first image. A direction of the workpiece 10 is differently set with respect to a scanning direction of the printing head 21 between the first printing step and the second printing step.
