<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravure coating apparatus that can form a coating layer with a uniform thickness on a substrate.SOLUTION: A gravure coating apparatus comprises a gravure roll 4 that transfers coating slip over the surface of a substrate 100 and a painting unit 8 that has a chamber 6 that coats the gravure roll 4 with coating slip. The gravure roll 4 comprises a removal device 10 having a spiral groove along the peripheral surface of the gravure roll to remove a part of the coating slip on the gravure roll 4 after coating slip is applied to the gravure roll 4 and before the coating slip on the gravure roll 4 is transferred to the surface of the substrate 100. The removal device 10 removes a part of coating slip to be transferred to a substrate end part out of the coating slip on the gravure roll 4 to be transferred to the substrate 100.</p> |
