Disclosed are an authentication association method and system. An access point (AP) receives an authentication request sent by a station (STA) which needs to establish a connection with a service device; the AP establishes an authentication with the STA; the AP receives, after the STA sends an association request to the service device, an authentication result query request sent by the service device, and sends the result of the authentication result query request to the service device to enable the service device to determine whether to establish an association with the STA; if the result shows that the STA passes the authentication of the AP, then the service device can establish an association with the STA; and if the result shows that the STA does not pass the authentication of the AP, then the STA cannot establish an association with the service device. By means of the present invention, when an STA performs handoff communication with a service device having the same authentication method or performs communication with a plurality of service devices at the same time, only one occurrence of authentication with an access point (AP) is required for implementation, which avoids the trouble brought about by repeated authentication. |
