Disclosed is a connector (100) comprising a generally U-shaped housing (1) including a bottom wall (11) and two side walls (12) extended from two sides of the bottom wall, the bottom wall and the side walls defining a receiving space, and a conductive contacting member (2) including a frame (20) defined by a top wall, two side walls and a bottom wall and a terminal part (21) extended from the front end of the frame. A part of the bottom wall of the housing at one end of the housing is separated from the two side walls so as to form an inserting part (13), which is adapted to be inserted inside the frame and to abut on an inner surface of the bottom wall (201) of the frame, so that the conductive contacting member is fitted over the inserting part and received in the receiving space of the housing. The connector further comprises a fixing device configured to fixedly connect the inserting part of the housing and the bottom wall (201) of the frame of the conductive contacting member onto a mounting plate (200), the fixing device is disposed inside the housing. According to the connector of the present application, the mounting space on the mounting plate can be saved. |
