PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for suppressing the release of Iduring the production and storage of 1,3-diiodine hydantoin compound and solving the purity decline and various problems resulting from I.SOLUTION: Provided is a storage method for 1,3-diiodine hydantoin compound, comprising a process in which 1,3-diiodine hydantoin compound is produced by a method comprising a step of preparing a wet product comprising 1,3-diiodine hydantoin compound, and (1) a step of drying the wet product by contacting the wet product with heating gas, or (2) a step of freeze drying the wet product, and in which a composition substantially comprising the 1,3-diiodine hydantoin compound, free Iof 1 mass% or less, and water of 6 mass% or less, is stored under a temperature condition of 15°C or less. |
