PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized electronic timepiece with a built-in antenna capable of maintaining the receiving performance for circularly polarized wave at a sufficient high level even if a metal exterior case is employed.SOLUTION: The electronic timepiece includes: a cylindrical exterior case 80, a cover glass 84 that closes the opening on the surface side of the exterior case 80; a drive mechanism 30 that drives a pointer 13 inside the exterior case 80; a metal antenna body 40; and a dielectric body 22. The antenna body 40 has: a cylindrical side face part 43; a bottom surface part 42 that closes the opening on the rear side of the side face part 43; and an antenna electrode 41 that contacts the inner periphery of the side face part 43, and houses the drive mechanism 30. A back lid 85 that closes the opening on the rear side of the exterior case 80 also serves as a bottom surface part 42. The dielectric body 22 extends in a circumferential direction of the side face part 43, and contacts the antenna electrode 41 in a front/rear direction. A slot 40a extending in a circumferential direction is formed in the antenna electrode 41, and a part or all of the slot 40a is covered by the dielectric body 22 in the front/rear direction. |
