PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell module and a manufacturing method thereof capable of utilizing a wide effective range of wavelength of solar light superior in conversion efficiency.SOLUTION: The solar cell module includes: a photoelectric conversion element 101; an electrode 104 connected to the photoelectric conversion element 101; a transparent resin 102 for protecting the photoelectric conversion element 101; a cover glass 105 for protecting the photoelectric conversion element 101 and the transparent resin 102 from the external environment; a back sheet 103; and an aerogel layer 106 containing fluorescence substance over the cover glass 105 at the side opposite to the transparent resin 102. In the solar cell module, the fluorescence substance is protected by aerogel.
