摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination system which employs at least one nanostructured optical fiber.SOLUTION: The light system comprises a light source which generates light having a certain wavelength and at least one nanostructured optical fiber. The nanostructured optical fiber includes a central axis, an inner area having a plurality of nanostructures which have a diameter between 1×10m and 1×10m, an outer annular area surrounding the inner area, a layer surrounding the outer annular area, and an end optically coupled to the light source. The nanostructured optical fiber is configured so as to scatter guided light to the outside from the central axis through the inner area, the outer annular area, and the layer to form a light-source fiber portion which emits substantially uniform radiation over the length thereof. The layer surrounding the outer annular area is configured to correct the radiation.
