PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IPS liquid-crystal display capable of reducing display unevenness while increasing the opening ratio of pixels.SOLUTION: The liquid-crystal display includes: a first transparent substrate SUB 1 and a second transparent substrate SUB 2. The second transparent substrate SUB 2 includes being formed thereon: plural gate signal lines GL; plural data signal lines DL; plural pixel electrodes PIT disposed corresponding to plural pixels; and plural common electrodes CIT which are disposed being faced to the pixel electrodes PIT. The pitch Pg between the gate signal lines GL is smaller than the pitch Pd between the data signal lines DL. In the pixel P1 as viewed from the top, the transparent pixel electrode PIT is overlapped with the gate signal line GL2 neighboring the transparent pixel electrode PIT.
