<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet transport device capable of simply and easily correcting a skew of any kind of sheet, and an image formation apparatus.SOLUTION: A sheet transport device includes: a register roller pair 23 which holds and transports a sheet with a nip part N; a first shutter member 24a which has a first abutting surface 29a straddling a nip line N1 upstream from the nip part N in a sheet transporting direction, and retracts the first abutting surface 29a when the first abutting part N is pushed with a sheet; and a second shutter member 24b which has a second abutting surface 29b positioned downstream from the first abutting surface 29a in the sheet transport direction and more on the side of a rotary shaft 28, and retracts the second abutting surface 29b when the second abutting surface 29b is pushed with the sheet. When the rigidity of the sheet to be transported is lower than predetermined rigidity, the sheet is made to abut the first abutting surface 29a to have its skew corrected, and when the rigidity is lower than the predetermined rigidity, the sheet is made to abut the first abutting surface 29a and second abutting surface 29b to have its skew corrected.</p> |
