The present invention relates to a method for detecting single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) using a characteristic that 5′-flap endonuclease (FEN) activity of DNA polymerase is inhibited in a case that a probe is complementarily bound to an end of a PCR product. More specifically, the present invention relates to a new method capable of effectively detecting single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) by checking a characteristic that the 5′-flap endonuclease (FEN) activity of the DNA polymerase with heat-resistance with respect to the probe in a case of complementarily binding the probe used in the real time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to an end portion of the PCR product and deriving formation of 5′-flap according to allele in a case that design is performed to position the single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP), to be detected, at 5′-end portion of the probe using the same. |
