PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jig for carrier tape connection that can be used for connection of general carrier tape, while having sufficient connection strength, and allows for splicing strong against twisting of a tape, and to provide a carrier tape connection method.SOLUTION: A jig 10 for carrier tape connection for connecting a first carrier tape and a second carrier tape having an electronic component encapsulation part, where an electronic component encapsulation recesses encapsulating a plurality of electronic components exist, and a sprocket hole part where a plurality of sprocket holes exist, respectively, includes a first insertion part 12 for inserting a first carrier tape, a second insertion part 14 for inserting a second carrier tape, and cutting means 16 for cutting the ends of the first and second carrier tapes. |
