WIRELESS COMMUNICATION APPARATUS AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus capable of being equivalently compatible with different wireless communication systems.SOLUTION: The wireless communication system includes: a transmission/reception section; an estimation section; and a control section. The transmission/reception section transmits and receives a frame within a frequency bandwidth which is used by a first system which performs communication within a first communication range determined based on a first maximum transmission power and a first antenna gain. The estimation section determines whether an interference amount in the frequency bandwidth from a second system, which performs communication within a second communication range wider than the first communication range determined based on the second maximum transmission power larger than the first maximum transmission power and the second antenna gain, is larger than a threshold value. The control section increases the transmission power when the interference amount is larger than the threshold value.
