Provided are multi-layer video encoding/decoding methods. Provided is a multi-layer video decoding method comprising the steps of: obtaining, from a bit stream, an instantaneous decoder refresh (IDR) alignment information indicative of whether an intra random access point (IRAP) picture for random access included in the same access unit is limited to an IDR picture, and restoring a multi-layer picture by decoding encoded data using the IDR alignment information.
