<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a situation that the exchanging work efficiency of a roller is deteriorated by peripheral parts of the roller. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet conveying device includes, as peripheral parts of the roller: a roller cover that is supported to be freely displaced between a closing position where a guide surface for a sheet is formed to the periphery of the roller, and an opening position where a second roller can be separated from a second supporting body; a pressing member that is supported to be freely displaced between a pressing position where the sheet is pressed against the roller, and a retreating position where the second roller can be separated from the second supporting body; and a detection member that is supported to be freely displaced among a contact position where the sheet comes in contact, a detecting position where the detection member is displaced accompanied by the contact of the sheet at the contact position, and the retreating position where the second roller can be separated from the second supporting body, and detects the presence/absence of the sheet. In conjunction with the displacement of the roller cover from the closing position to the opening position, the pressing member is displaced from the pressing position to the retreating position, and the detection member is displaced from the contact position to the retreating position, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
