<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that executes processing for adding a halftone dot while reducing memory capacity as compared with the case of not having the present configuration. <P>SOLUTION: Pixel block extraction means of an image processing apparatus extracts pixel blocks which can be halftone dots in an image. Position determination means, among the positions of a predetermined first number of halftone dots around the position of a target first halftone dot, determines the positions of a predetermined second number of second halftone dots which are close to the first halftone dot and whose number is smaller than the first number using information on a screen. Halftone dot extraction means extracts a pixel block which is a halftone dot among the pixel blocks extracted by the pixel block extraction means based on pixels at the positions of the second halftone dots determined by the position determination means. Halftone dot adding means adds a halftone dot at the position of a pixel block not extracted by the pixel block extraction means based on the pixels at the positions of the second halftone dots determined by the position determination means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
