<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of reducing carbon dioxide, in which, by using a catalyst for photocatalyst reaction not including an element such as barium, carbon monoxide as a useful reactive compound can be produced with a high selectivity at a reaction temperature of about room temperature while without requiring supply of other useful compound as a starting material. <P>SOLUTION: The method of reducing carbon dioxide is characterized in that CO is produced by irradiating light to CO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, H<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O and a gallium oxide photocatalyst with silver supported thereon, this photocatalyst being used in this method to contribute the reaction of reducing CO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
