<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic device having a housing that is not only easy to carry but also has stability. <P>SOLUTION: An endoscopic device 1 according to the present invention comprises: a long insertion part 10 having an imaging mechanism at its leading end and bendable; a display part 40 configured to display an image obtained by the imaging mechanism; an operation part 20 configured to perform a bending operation for the insertion part; and a housing 61 configured such that the display part and operation part are accommodated on the front side and the insertion part is connected to the rear side oppose the front. The housing comprises: a base part 65 having a ground surface 65A and formed in the shape of a flat plate; a front part 66 extending upward from the base part at a first angle between the base part and itself and having the display part and operation part arranged on its upper surface; a rear part 67 extending upward from the base part at a second angle between the base part and itself and connected to the insertion part, the second angle being greater than the first angle; and a finger hooking hole 69 extending in the width direction of the front part and through the housing.
