The present invention relates to a method for producing a lotus root sauce and a lotus root sauce produced through the same method. The method according to the present invention includes steps of preparing lotus roots; pulverizing the lotus roots prepared from the previous step into fine powders; mixing the lotus root powder with water and heating the compound; adding adding sugar, soy sauce, and salt while heating the mixture of the lotus root powder and water; adding starch to the mixture of the lotus root powder, water, sugar, soy sauce, and salt; heating and boiling down the mixture of the above-mentioned ingredients and starch for a certain period of time. According to the present invention, a unique chewing texture and flavor of lotus root can be achieved and healthful physiological functions are added so that health of a consumer can be improved. As a result, a variety of nutrients and functional effects contained in lotus root can be either directly consumed or used as a sauce, dressing, seasoning and the like. In this regard, the value of lotus root can be increased; the competitiveness of lotus root products can be strengthened; and the consumption of the products can be increased. |
