The present invention relates to an alignment apparatus of a stepped battery and an alignment method wherein a meandering of the stepped battery is corrected, and a hot press process is performed, thereby solving the problems caused by the meandering of the stepped battery. The present invention relates to an electrode alignment apparatus, comprising: a lower jig (22); an upper jig (24) installed on an upper part of the lower jig and capable of ascending and descending toward the lower jig; an alignment jig (30) installed on an upper part of the lower jig (22); and a gauge unit (40) for moving the stepped battery (10) placed on the lower jig (22) toward an aligned surface of the alignment jig (30).
