[Problem] To provide: a compact hydrogen water production apparatus which can generate hydrogen with high generation efficiency even when the size of the apparatus is reduced, and which is therefore suitable for domestic use; and an electrode which can be used in the apparatus. [Solution] The apparatus is equipped with: two titanium oxide electrodes (16, 16) which respectively constitute an anode and a cathode; a dry cell (18) for applying a voltage to the two titanium oxide electrodes (16, 16); an ultraviolet ray irradiation means (20) which can irradiate the two titanium oxide electrodes (16, 16) with ultraviolet ray and is equipped with an ultraviolet ray guide path (20A); and a control means (22) which can switch and control the polarity of each of the two titanium oxide electrodes (16, 16). The apparatus is used in such a manner that the titanium oxide electrodes (16) and the ultraviolet ray guide path (20A) are allowed to submerge in water from which the hydrogen water is to be produced. |
