<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that collects a component vaporized from a mold release wax generated in fixing a toner image from the early stage of printing. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a collecting member that is provided between a fixing nip portion forming member and a frame, and collects a component vaporized from a mold release wax generated by heating by the fixing nip portion; and a heating member that is provided apart from the fixing nip portion forming member and heats the collecting member so as to be maintained in a temperature range between the melting point and the sublimation point of the mold release wax. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
