<p>A cable transfer system for introducing or removing a cable 2 from a pre-existing pipe 3 comprises an attachment system adapted to attach to the pipe and a cable connection system 4 adapted to provide a connection between a first portion of cable or cable duct 2a for passing into the pipe and a second portion of cable or cable duct 2b for location outside the pipe. The attachment system engages with the cable connection system and attaches to an external surface of the pipe relative to a hole 5 in a wall of the pipe and provides a watertight seal between the first portion of cable or cable duct and the hole. The attachment system comprises a housing 7 to receive the cable connection system and a clamp 6 to attach the housing to the pipe over the hole. The system reduces the likelihood of standing water in the pipe.</p> |
