A footwear dryer to remove moisture from shoe fabric by inserting a foot shaped container 10,20 with a toe and ankle comprising a Voronoi pattern of through holes 13,23 inside a cavity. The boot dryer may include a rigid hollow holder with a right angle at the heel and an opening at the ankle. The case may be formed of two halves 10,20 through which a moisture absorbing material may be inserted into the container cavity. The granular drying substance may be enclosed in a sock 30 between an outer water permeable mesh and an inner lining. A bone 40 may be used to support the insertion of the dehumidifying material pouch 30 within the frame 10,20. The bone 40 may be smooth or comprise a grill of apertures preferably forming a voronoi lattice extending from the toe to ankle. Preferably the dryer is formed of a material with a melting point above 220 degrees centigrade and includes an embedded resistance heater. |
