<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purifying device that can favorably remove particulate matter in exhaust gas exhausted from a direct injection type gasoline engine, and maintain good collection efficiency for the particulate matter for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust gas purifying device 1 includes: a plurality of honeycomb structures 100, each structure of which includes partition walls 5 segmenting and forming a plurality of cells 4 that penetrate from an inflow end face 2 to an outflow end face 3 and function as a flow passage of a fluid, and includes plugged cells 4a and through-cells 4b, and in which at most two plugged cells 4a are included in the cells 4 adjacent to the through-cells 4b via the partition walls 5; and a can body 20 formed with an inflow port 22 and an outflow port 23 and storing the plurality of honeycomb structures 100 with the inflow end faces 2 facing the side of the inflow port 22 and with the outflow end faces 3 facing the side of the outflow port 23; wherein the honeycomb structures 100, 100 adjacent to each other are arranged to be spaced apart from each other by 1 to 50 mm and satisfy the following formula: (opening minimum diameter K1/maximum diameter K0)×100≥80. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
