<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zincate type zinc-based plating bath in which insoluble substances are hard to be formed after a prolonged period of its use; an additive for zincate type zinc-based plating bath, which prevents the formation of insoluble substances in the plating bath when added thereto; and a method for producing a member on which zinc-based plating is formed by using the zinc-based plating bath.SOLUTION: A zincate type zinc-based plating bath comprises a reaction product (A) and a bath soluble substance containing zinc therein. The reaction product (A) is obtained by reacting a reaction product (a) and a halide of glycidyl trimethyl ammonium. The reaction product (a) is obtained by the reaction of a nicotinic acid amido with one or more selected from the group consisting of a chain alkyl halide and an alicyclic alkyl halide; a compound prepared by substituting at least one hydrogen of those alkyl halides with an amino group, a hydroxy group, an oxyalkylene ether group, an alkylcarboxyalkyl group, an arylcarboxyalkyl group, a carboxyalkyl group, phosphonic acid or an aryl group; and an alkane sultone.</p> |
