<p>The component (10) has a casing (12) formed of a fabric material for receiving a folded air bag. A rib support structure (14) is attached to an instrument panel such that the casing is fixedly positioned between the instrument panel and the support structure. The support structure is formed as a lattice structure with u-shaped cross section, and forms a receiver for a part of the casing. An opening (34) for receiving a fastening unit is provided at free end of a bracket (22) of the support structure, where the fastening unit attaches the support structure to the instrument panel.</p> |
