摘要 The present invention relates to a height measurement apparatus using human body joint information and a method thereof wherein joint information is extracted from a photographed body image, and a height (stature) of a human body is measured by using such information, the invention comprising: an image acquisition unit for acquiring a color (RGB) image and a depth image from the photographed body image; a joint information extraction unit for extracting joint information of a human body from the acquired color image and depth image; a joint-based height measurement unit for measuring a height of a human body by using joint coordinate information included in the extracted joint information; a measured height correcting unit for correcting the measured height by analyzing relationships between joints included in the measured height measurement information; a bone length-based height measurement unit for measuring a height by using a ratio of shinbone length from the extracted joint information; and a height determination unit for finally measuring a height by comparing the height measured based on joint, and the height measured based on bone length.
