<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus using an intermediate transfer belt, in which conveyance stability of the intermediate transfer belt is improved, variation in the characteristics in the belt is decreased and images of high picture quality can be outputted for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The intermediate transfer belt is formed of at least a polyimide resin and has a perimeter length of 2000 mm or more, surface roughness Ra of a back face (inner face) of 0.2 to 0.4μm, and a moisture-absorption linear expansion coefficient of 22 ppm/%RH or less. The polyimide resin comprises a blend of a polyimide resin component (S component) including 3,3',4,4'-biphenyl tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and p-phenylene diamine coupled by an imide group, and a polyimide resin component (A component) including 3,3',4,4'-biphenyl tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and 4,4'-diamine diphenylether coupled by an imide group, in a weight ratio (S/A) of the S component to the A component ranging from 10/90 to 40/60. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
