The present invention relates to a mobile terminal and a control method thereof. The control method comprises the steps of: driving a camera and photographing a video; detecting occurrence of a predetermined event while photographing the video; generating bookmark information corresponding to the detected event; and storing a video file including the bookmark information to a memory when photographing the video is completed.
