PASSIVATION TREATMENT METHOD FOR IMPORVING CORROSION OF STAINLESS STEEL PRODUTS

The present invention relates to a passivation treatment method to secure corrosion resistance of stainless steel products. More specifically, the method according to the present invention performs a primary passivation treatment using nitric acid and sodium bichromate, and then performs a secondary passivation treatment using citric acid through an electrolytic chromate process. As a result, rust and corrosion can be prevented by forming a double film on the stainless steel products, and a corrosion resistance of 48 hours or longer can be obtained at a salt spray test. In addition, the method can prevent rust or corrosion which may occur in the stainless steel products used in daily life; can be used for all types of stainless steel products; and can form a stable oxide film by the second passivation treatment.
