<p>A triple layer papermaker's fabric (10) comprises a set of top cross machine direction yarns (122, 124, 126, 128, 130, 132, 134, 136) interwoven with top machine direction yarns (102, 104, 106, 108, 110, 112, 114, 116) to form a top fabric layer; and a set of bottom cross machine direction yarns interwoven with bottom machine direction yarns to form a bottom fabric layer, where each repeat unit has twice the number of bottom machine direction yarns as the number of top machine direction yarns. A triple layer papermaker's fabric comprises a set of top machine direction yarns; a set of top cross machine direction yarns interwoven with the top machine direction yarns to form a top fabric layer; a set of bottom machine direction yarns; a set of bottom cross machine direction yarns interwoven with the bottom machine direction yarns to form a bottom fabric layer, where bottom fabric layer is stitched to the top fabric layer, the top machine direction yarns and the top cross machine direction yarns are interwoven in a series of repeat units, and the bottom machine direction yarns and the bottom cross machine direction yarns are interwoven in a series of corresponding repeat units, and each repeat unit has twice the number of bottom machine direction yarns as the number of top machine direction yarns. An independent claim is also included for a method of making paper, comprising providing a papermaker's fabric; applying paper stock to the papermaker's fabric; and removing moisture from the paper stock.</p> |
