1. A flexible filament locking mechanism comprising:
spaced first and second toothed sections, each with a plurality of opposing teeth, the first and second toothed sections defining a filament-receiving region between the opposing teeth; a flexible filament extending through the filament-receiving region; and a locking mechanism for moving the teeth of the toothed sections into and out of engagement to lock and unlock the flexible filament in place between the opposing teeth, the locking mechanism including a housing with the first toothed section formed into the housing, and a spring clamp on the housing, with the second toothed section formed into the spring clamp; a locking slide movable toward the toothed sections for urging the teeth of the first and second toothed sections into engagement against the filament, the locking slide having a locking surface; and the spring clamp including a lock spring arm with a latch portion for engaging the locking surface of the slide to lock the locking slide in place when the teeth of the first and second toothed sections are in engagement against the filament. |
