<p>The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition containing a Phellodendron amurense fruit extraction or a fraction thereof as an active ingredient for promoting an antibacterial effect and ameliorating acne. Specifically, the Phellodendron amurense fruit extraction or the fraction thereof of the present invention cause no skin irritation, and exhibits significant effects of promoting antibacterial effect and ameliorating acne. In particular, a hexane fraction of Phellodendron amurense fruit exhibits remarkable antibacterial effect and acne ameliorating effect, compared with a Phellodendron amurense bark extract. Accordingly, the Phellodendron amurense fruit extraction and the fraction thereof can be effectively used as an active ingredient of a cosmetic composition for promoting an antibacterial effect and ameliorating acne.</p> |
