FIELD: metallurgy.SUBSTANCE: method includes grinding of the roll body and texture application. Stabilization and uniformity of the rolling surface roughness upon decreasing of the expenses for rolls preparation is ensured due to that grinding is performed until achievement of the final surface roughness 0.04-0.08 mcm Ra using the grinding disks with different grain size at each disk, and texture application at electrodischarge texturing using the electrodes out of tin bronze to roughness 1.6-1.8 mcm Ra and peaks density 90-100 cm. To facilitate the process the grinding to 0.32-0.63 mcm Ra is performed by disks with grain size 60-70 microns, then the roll body is ground by the disks with grain size 220-240 mcm to final roughness.EFFECT: improved quality and microgeometry of the surface.3 cl, 1 tbl
