METHOD OF ENCODING/DECODING MOTION VECTOR FOR MULTI-VIEW VIDEO AND APPARATUS THEREOF

Disclosed is a technology related to: a method for motion vector and residual prediction for a multiple-view point image; and an apparatus for executing the same method. A method for decoding a motion vector for a multiple-view point image includes the steps of: determining a motion prediction method executed on a present block to be decoded and a corresponding block, which corresponds to the present block; and generating a motion vector prediction value of the present block by using a motion vector of the corresponding block according to the determined motion prediction method. Therefore, prediction on a temporal motion vector can be adaptively predicted according to the motion vector prediction method of the present block and the corresponding block.
