<p>System for fixing a cutting tool, formed by a tool holder (1) and a removable insert (2A) that defines an active cutting part and a passive part engaging with a corresponding housing (3A) in the tool holder (1A), characterized in that the housing (3A) is formed by an axial groove (4A) that is open at least on one side thereof so as to allow the introduction of the passive part of the insert (2A) by the end or side(s), in a straight or inclined manner, and the retention thereof between the faces (A, B) of the housing (3A), at least partially defining a quadrangular section corresponding to that of the passive part of the insert, the latter being pressed against said faces (A, B) by reaction to the forces (F) generated by cutting, said forces being opposite to the direction of rotation (R) of the tool, and by way of a radial locking screw (5) that passes through a threaded through-hole (6) formed in the wall of the tool holder (1A) and comes into clamping engagement in opposition to the cutting part of the insert (2A) in order to keep it in position in the housing (3A).</p> |
