FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: free-standing autograft containing connective tissue and epithelial layer of the mucosa is sampled from a maxillary tuber. A niche is formed by splitting throughout the mucosa surrounding the defect at a boundary of its lamina propria and periosteum from medial, distal and apical wound edges at a depth of 0.3-0.5 cm. The graft is transferred into the defect so that its de-epithelised portions are found in the niche; the transferred graft is fixed with U-sutures into projection of the niche and additionally fixed with a compression X-suture.EFFECT: by simultaneous elimination of the postoperative defect and creation of the required volume of the attached jaw for the purpose of the successful rehabilitation of the patient, the method enables improving the aesthetic and functional effect.1 ex
