The present invention addresses the problem of performing high quality printing more appropriately when using UV-curable inks in a serial inkjet printer. A solution is a printing apparatus (10) for printing with an inkjet system using a multi-pass mode, the printing apparatus being provided with inkjet heads (202y, 202m, 202c, 202k), temporary curing light sources (204, 208), a main curing light source (206), and a control unit (20) that acts as a pixel-selecting unit. The temporary curing light sources (204, 208) irradiate ultraviolet rays every time a previously set number of main scanning actions has been performed and the main curing light source (206) irradiates ultraviolet rays after the main scanning action in all of the printing passes has been completed. |
