摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a power supply apparatus and a method thereof. The power supply apparatus according to the present invention can improve lifetime of a battery, and can assure stability, and can increase energy efficiency, by selecting and using the battery according to charge current capacity of the battery or discharge current capacity of the battery. According to the present invention, the energy efficiency of the battery can be increased, and the lifetime of the battery can be improved, by measuring a charge current or a discharge current of the battery, and using the battery selectively according to the measured current value. The power supply apparatus of the present invention includes: a first battery and a second battery which have different depth of charge (DOC) and state of charge (SOC); a current measurement part for measuring a charge current or a discharge current of the first battery or a charge current or a discharge current of the second battery; and a switch control part which makes a power line be connected to the first battery or the second battery by using the measured charge current value or the measured discharge current value of the first battery of the second battery.</p>
