PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long life negative electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.SOLUTION: The negative electrode for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes: a collector; a negative electrode active material; a layer shaped negative electrode active material layer containing a binder for binding the negative electrode active material; and an azole compound having an amino group as a functional group at a part of an interface between the negative electrode active material layer and the collector.
