PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery high in energy density and superior in durability.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: a positive electrode including a first positive electrode active material and a second positive electrode active material; and a nonaqueous electrolyte including a fluorinated chain carboxylic acid ester expressed by the formula below. The first positive electrode active material consists of a lithium-containing transition metal oxide expressed by LiMnO-LiMOin a state of solid solution. The second positive electrode active material consists of a lithium-containing transition metal oxide having a layer structure and including at least Ni, in which the Ni content is 50 mol% or more to the total mole amount of metal elements except Li. (R represents an alkyl group with C1-C4; and X represents F, H, an alkyl group with C1-C4, the alkyl group with at least a part of H substituted with F, or a combination thereof.) |
