<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device and a fixing control program capable of improving the heating efficiency of a fixing belt.SOLUTION: A fixing device in one embodiment comprises a heating member, an induction heating unit, a calculation unit, a selection unit, and a current supply unit. The heating member heats a sheet onto which toners are transferred. The induction heating unit heats the heating member and a metallic section proximate to the heating member by electromagnetic induction. The calculation unit calculates a drive frequency of the induction heating unit on the basis of a temperature of the metallic section. The selection unit selects any of a first drive method for driving the induction heating unit by a drive current calculated based on a difference between the temperature of the heating member and a target temperature and a second drive method for driving the induction heating unit by a drive current based on the drive frequency calculated by the calculation unit among a plurality of drive methods for driving the induction heating unit, on the basis of the temperature of the metallic section. The current supply unit supplies the induction current by the drive method selected by the selection unit to the induction heating unit.</p> |
